The idea
Technical writing often needs both readable authoring syntax and precise mathematical typesetting. Vitamins explores a calmer document front end while retaining LaTeX as the renderer and output format.
How it works
A Rust parser and emitter translate structured document blocks into TeX. The CLI checks a document in memory, prints generated source or writes a .tex file. Math helpers, document environments and user-defined math macros provide the implemented first slice.
What’s implemented
- Paper metadata, sections, abstracts and quotations
- Paragraph formatting, citations, references, figures and tables
- Theorem/proof blocks, equations and mathematical helpers
- Check, emit and compile-to-LaTeX commands
PROJECT STATUS / LANGUAGE PROTOTYPE
Where it stands
Small document-language prototype
- First language slice; user-defined environments remain deferred
- Emits LaTeX source rather than rendering PDF itself
- Document correctness and mathematical truth are separate from syntactic acceptance
