The idea
Receiving a report is different from confirming a position. TranscentreVG-1 explores how uncertain range/bearing observations, independent witnesses and packet delivery affect the evidence behind a synthetic beacon estimate.
How it works
Four simulated receivers search a 42 × 32 grid. A Bayesian posterior tracks each static identified beacon; an adaptive planner weighs information gain, travel and viewpoint geometry. CRC-checked relay frames connect observation delivery to the estimator, with reproducible synthetic benchmarks.
What’s implemented
- Bayesian grid localization with uncertainty and outlier gating
- Independent confirmation and adaptive receiver planning
- Packet-loss, corruption, outage and repeated-view scenarios
- Audible FSK packet capture and WAV verification
PROJECT STATUS / SIMULATION
Where it stands
Reproducible simulation
- All receivers, beacons and measurements are simulated
- The model assumes static identified beacons and omits terrain, propagation and physical vehicle dynamics
- Synthetic benchmark results do not establish field accuracy; CRC is not sender authentication
