The idea
DOG1 turns movement, resource constraints and abstract token interactions into a small visual world. The project is a game-model study: its map, distances, allegiances and power points are invented and can be inspected independently of the presentation.
How it works
A JavaScript model runs continuous movement on a periodic 42 × 32 grid, separating routes and game state from browser rendering. Node tests cover rules, while a Python/FFmpeg renderer creates a reproducible demonstration and records its authored scenario in a manifest.
What’s implemented
- Continuous routes across a periodic map seam
- Relative speed allocation, distance-based fuel and arrival-based refuelling
- Editable abstract power points and synthetic token rules
- Inspectable exported state and a reproducible video demonstration
PROJECT STATUS / FICTIONAL SIMULATION
Where it stands
Fictional tabletop simulation
- A fictional uncalibrated game model rather than an Earth coordinate system
- Token visibility, power and interaction scores have no real sensor or weapon interpretation
- Debugging exports expose synthetic hidden state and are not competitive-game boundaries
