The idea
Intelligence judgments are made from incomplete evidence that an adversary may deliberately shape. Black Calculus examines how knowledge, trust and legitimate action can remain accountable under deception, uncertainty and secret power.
How it works
An eight-book argument moves from knowledge, trust and belief through identity, strategy, force, legitimacy and institutional design. The working draft labels material claims as fact, inference, doctrine or speculation, and the first chapter traces evidence from collection to decision.
What’s implemented
- Public preface and substantial first-chapter working draft
- Eight-book outline spanning forty planned chapters
- Book constitution and editorial standards for evidence and terminology
PROJECT STATUS / WORKING MANUSCRIPT
